Breaking boundaries is the theme of this evening concert in the Plugged In series. Alongside works by Friedrich Gulda and Duke Ellington the violinist Benjamin Schmid and the Tonkunstler Orchestra conducted by Ariel Zuckermann present the Symphonic Dances to Leonard Bernstein’s ‘West Side Story’. The centrepiece of the programme is the world premiere of Florian Willeitner’s Violin Concerto, a work specially commissioned for the Tonkunstler Orchestra.
