Ottorino Respighi
«Feste Romane» Symphonic poem

With blazing orchestral music, spectacular 3D projections and a thrilling display of light and shadow, the multimedia magnum opus ‘Trilogia Romana’ is one of the highlights of the season. Video projections directed by the Catalan art collective La Fura dels Baus and Ottorino Respighi’s ‘Roman Trilogy’ performed by the Tonkunstler Orchestra under Antonio Méndez sweep the Festspielhaus audience along on a journey through the “eternal city”. A stimulating acoustic experience full of dreamy evocations of people, the city, history and nature which could possibly have passed through Ottorino Respighi’s own head while he was composing these famous symphonic poems between 1916 and 1928.
