Symphony No. 4 in G major

Alison Balsom, one of the greats of international music, plays Konstantía Gourzí’s Trumpet Concerto, a Grafenegg commission. Infused with diverse cultural traditions, including that of her native Greece, Gourzí’s work also seeks new ways of bringing audience and music together. She then conducts the Tonkunstler Orchestra in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

Alison Balsom, who was originally announced for the concert, had to cancel her participation.
