Bohemian joie de vivre: With his Slavonic Dances, Antonín Dvořák painted a musical portrait of his homeland. His Violin Concerto is a work of virtuosity, here performed by Russian violinist Alina Pogostkina, while his love for his country features in the prelude with his Symphony «From the New World». Brahms, too, looked eastward in his «Hungarian Dances». Based on folk melodies, they resonate with the natural beauty of  the castle grounds.
