Happy New Year! It can be so easy to have a lively start into the new year and to celebrate it with a swing. The Tonkunstler Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s concerts make for a splendid transition to 2017. Traditional, entertaining and presented in a witty manner: for many years, the Tonkunstler and their guests have accompanied the start of the year with musical fireworks, blending Viennese waltzes with popular orchestral classics and highlights from the world of opera and operetta in programmes full of atmosphere. A distinctive feature of the Tonkunstler’s New Year’s concerts have always been the performances of young sopranos who are at the beginning of their promising careers. This makes the musical turn of the year great fun – for the performers and the audience alike.

Tip: As most of the concerts are sold out well in advance, we recommend that you buy your tickets in good time. Sought-after as they are, they once again make for a great Christmas present!
