Programmes

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to some extent imbibed violin playing with his mother’s milk. He wrote his five violin concertos before the age of 20, including the last in A major with its sublime Adagio and famous «Alla turca» manner in the Finale. The young American violinist Benjamin Beilman enters into a dialogue with the Tonkunstler conducted by Pierre Bleuse. Samuel Barber’s famous «Adagio for Strings» and Ludwig van Beethoven’s powerful Fifth, the «Fate Symphony», frame this evening of mighty musical expression.
