«Swan Lake» Ballet in four acts

The legend of Prince Siegfried and the spellbound Odette is probably both the saddest and most beautiful of all love stories – a byword for true love. The French star choreographer Angelin Preljocaj devotes himself to this classical ballet par excellence. He has already caused a furore at St. Pölten with «Les Nuits», «Roméo et Juliette» and «Snow White». Together with his troupe from Aix-en-Provence, Preljocaj focuses his and our attention on the myth of the swan dancer. His «Swan Lake» choreography, which combines classical with contemporary dance, unfolds itself in the Festspielhaus St. Pölten as a breath-taking dance experience – and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s magical music is played live by the Tonkunstler Orchestra conducted by Yannis Pouspourikas!
