Opening ConcertDescription
In her little pond, Ms Droplet lives the tranquil life of a drop of water, her days following a well-organised cycle: In the morning, she wakes up in her taupe pyjamas in her waterlily bed, glides carefully into the water and swims a few laps. When the sun is particularly warm, Ms Droplet evaporates. Then she takes a nap in the cloud until she falls as a raindrop back into her beloved pond with its water that’s just the right temperature. But one day she wakes up in the cloud and feels changed. She shivers and realises with horror that her cloud has been blown far away, across the feared Polar Sea – and that she herself is about to turn into a snowflake. With the help of the audience and the musicians of the Tonkunstler Orchestra, she does everything she can to return to her lukewarm pond, and in the process she discovers that there’s no need to be afraid of change.
