Gansch anders

A little different from the norm? His huge community of fans not only knows this but also loves it, most recently in the Plugged-In series of 2022: With Thomas Gansch, the different, out of the ordinary, unpredictable is completely normal. So it’s no surprise to anyone that the trumpeter, composer and arranger, who skips between classical and jazz, brass band tradition and avant-garde, is significantly involved in the founding and ongoing performance life of many ensembles, including Mnozil Brass, Gansch & Roses and Wieder, Gansch & Paul, that he has helped invent multiple instruments tailored to his playing technique and that all the while he carries on playing as a solo entertainer. So what can we expect from «Gansch anders» (a pun on the German for «totally different»)? More of all that? Or something completely new? Curiosity and tension increase – and are further heightened by conductor, pianist and organist Wayne Marshall, who has already achieved many successes with the Tonkunstler Orchestra.
