Symphonic Alps Reloaded
Description
Alpine folk music meets the classical symphony – again?! After the overwhelming success of the joint concert series in spring 2023 with completely sold-out performances in Vienna, St. Pölten, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich, the legendary Herbert Pixner Projekt and the Tonkunstler Orchestra come together again: for «Symphonic Alps reloaded»! The stirring original folk sound of the Alps and the finest of contemporary world music meet jazz, rock, blues, tango and flamenco. The unmistakable style and virtuosic improvisation of the South Tyrolean multi-instrumentalist’s ensemble encounter the musical universe of the Tonkunstler – simply the best of both worlds. «Reloaded» with new arrangements and current compositions, «Symphonic Alps» shows that this kind of event can stay well away from clichés if it has that vital common denominator: music that’s full of passion, spirit and joy. For all those who can’t wait: «Symphonic Alps» is also available on CD and as a concert film!
