Programmes

«Do you love Brahms?», Anthony Perkins asks Ingrid Bergman in the 1961 film «Goodbye Again». The answer, a harmonious «yes», comes this time not just from the stage but ultimately and especially from the audience, thanks to presenter Albert Hosp and the Tonkunstler Orchestra along with Spanish conductor Irene Delgado-Jiménez. In 2021 she first stood on the orchestra’s podium for the graduation ceremony of the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna; now she returns with much-loved works by Johannes Brahms: probably the two most famous «Hungarian Dances», whose wandering-minstrel style he learned on the puszta, and his «Haydn Variations», that important milestone on his road to the great symphony.
