It’s not just Antonín Dvořák’s immortal Ninth that comes «From the New World» on this occasion but also the Puerto Rican composer Roberto Sierra, among others. In the Latin American-inspired sounds of his sixth «Sinfonía», urban bustle comes together with the elemental power of the hurricane. Not forgetting Alberto Ginastera: In his «Concierto argentino», the North Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski, who has long been a welcome guest in Tonkunstler programmes including as a jazz musician, provides brilliant musicianship. The Venezuelan conductor Domingo Hindoyan returns to the orchestra after his success in Grafenegg in 2022 – a concert of new worlds.
