Programmes

Camille Saint-Saëns composed the first soundtrack for the film «The Assassination of the Duke of Guise». He was fascinated by distant lands and by folk music. He was funny and adventurous – setting off on a tour of America at the age of 80. He died on the way to an eclipse of the sun in Algiers. There’s much more to Camille Saint-Saëns’ music than just his world-famous works «Carnival of the Animals», the opera «Samson et Dalila» and the «Oratorio de Noël»!  With wit, a typically French elegance and a young pianist in the main role, the programme «Bonjour Camille!» gives its young audience an extraordinary production to listen to.
