A Baroque music legend turns the Tonkunstler's Christmas Concerts with the Arnold Schoenberg Choir into a festival: for decades, the Dutch conductor Ton Koopman has been an authority in inspired and historically informed music making. Through his benchmark interpretations, he has made a decisive contribution to the world's image of Johann Sebastian Bach. He brings two of the master's important choral cantatas to this Christmas celebration in Grafenegg, complemented with the third orchestral suite, with its popular «Air». The concert comes to a grand finish with Handel's sparkling «Music for the Royal Fireworks».
