Symphony for Soli, Choir and Orchestra No. 9 in d minor op. 125

The world celebrates Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday! His melody for the «Ode to Joy» has long secured its place as the European anthem and all over the globe is synonymous with tolerant and humane values. Almost 200 years after its premiere, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is interpreted by 500 singers. More than half of the participants work for the accountancy and consultancy firm EY (Ernst & Young). Amateur singers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take to the stage alongside choirs from Vienna and Lower Austria and professional musicians, affirming together the classical ideals and visions embodied in the «Ode to Joy».
